Our bodies have innate abilities to heal themselves.
Our holistic treatments include Osteopathy, Naturopathy, Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, and Clinical Pilates – each with their unique restorative qualities. They can be used individually or in some cases, together, to achieve positive results.
We treat the whole body and teach our patients how to partner clinical treatment with a healthy, more fulfilling lifestyle.
Osteopathy is a holistic treatment based on the philosophy that the body (your muscles, skeletal system, circulation, and everything in between) is interconnected, and this structure is directly related to its function. Which means the focus of the treatment is ensuring the whole body is working together properly, for optimal well-being.
We identify the problem by taking a detailed case history and carrying out a thorough physical examination. Next, an Osteopath combines in-clinic, hands-on deep tissue massage, stretching, and mobilising techniques with at-home diet, work, and lifestyle advice to design a whole body treatment regime that will see patients living their most energetic, connected life.
(Osteopaths are government registered primary healthcare practitioners, so you don’t need a GP referral, and instant health insurance claims are available through HICAPS).
We treat patients from all backgrounds, seeking relief from injury or illness, or as a preventative measure for overall well-being and vitality.
Our patients range from babies and children, pre and postnatal women to older people wanting to increase strength, balance, and mobility. We assist injured workers in returning to work and athletes back onto the sporting field.
MYOTHERAPY AND REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial Massage isn’t a relaxing rub down to help you unwind. This therapeutic form of massage addresses the sites of specific injuries or ailments that are preventing you from moving, exercising, and enjoying life at your physical best.
Our qualified therapists conduct a thorough assessment of your condition before developing a personalised treatment plan – often in combination with complementary therapies offered by our clinic. Remedial Massage is ideal for treating soft tissue injuries, reducing pain, and improving circulation.
Naturopathy combines dietary advice, herbal medicine and nutritional supplementation with lifestyle modifications, for a holistic approach to good health and vitality.
So many factors influence the body’s ability to heal itself and sustain optimal health. What you eat, how you live, how you’re coping mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – every element plays a role.
Before we recommend modifications to your diet and lifestyle, we investigate the causes of your symptoms. We do this in two ways – traditional laboratory investigations, and by having an in-depth conversation with you about your life, your experience, and expectations of your body. From there, we design a treatment plan that will support your lifestyle and nourish your body.
Clinical Pilates is slightly different to the type of Pilates you experience in a gym. Though the two forms of Pilates have similarities, Clinical Pilates is personalised and focused on stabilising local and global muscles primarily in the spine, shoulder girdle and abdomen – the core.
Clinical Pilates is highly effective in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall improvements to posture, flexibility, balance, and strength. Under the guidance of our talented team, patients will undergo safe, supervised exercises using the Pilates Reformer and instructions on at-home floor exercises to maintain a strong core.
