FISIOCREM – Why we love using it!

What is it?

Fisiocrem solugel is a massage cream that we typically use at the clinic during treatment and often recommend as a form of aftercare.

The active ingredients that make up Fisiocrem are all natural plant derivatives instead of pharmaceutically generated ingredients in other topical creams. Fisiocrem contains high levels of active plant extracts.

These properties are what make it perfect to use on most people who have either acute or chronic muscular or ligament aches and pains. Be that post exercise, after a strenuous gardening session or simply sitting for too long at the computer!

What’s it made of?

The active ingredients which make up Fisiocrem and their properties are as follows:

  • Arnica Montana is one of the most well known herbs worldwide. It has both analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties and has also been found to have the same effect when compared to a 5% ibuprofen gel for treating the symptoms of osteoarthritis.
  • Hypericum perforatum commonly known as St John’s wart, is especially useful for injuries to nerve-rich areas such as fingers, toes and the spine. It has been known to help relieve intense pain – either sharp, or shooting along the pathway of a nerve.
  • Calendula officinalis not only has anti inflammatory properties, it calms muscular spasms and speeds up the healing of skin wounds and ulcers.
  • Melaleuca oil’s anti-inflammatory properties help to relax muscles, and soothe any delayed onset of muscle soreness people may experience after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise.

As directed on the packaging we recommend using 5g (equivalent to one teaspoon) on the affected area 2-3 times per day or as often as required. Apply to the affected area in a circular motion in order to allow the cream to be absorbed into the skin. It is suitable before or after the application of ice or heat and can be used prior to support bandaging.

Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist consult your Healthcare Professional. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
